Fall In Love with this Bridal Shower

Fall is officially here and what could be better than planning a “Falling in Love” themed bridal shower with a rustic touch? I’ve teamed up with Michaels Weddings to bring this intimate, rustic bridal shower to life and make it super easy for you to recreate this look with a fall inspired color palette.
For the bridal shower, I wanted to make the guests feel welcomed and cozy as it was held outside on a farm during sunset. I set up pillows around a low table made of wood palettes and covered them with fall plaid throws. There were stacks of hay bales and white and soft orange pumpkins that were used in the centerpiece as decor accents.
One design piece that I always love including is a welcome sign for guests to see as soon as they enter the party. Since this was a rustic themed bridal shower, a chalkboard sign with a wooden frame was the perfect choice. Chalk paint works beautifully on this sign, as it’s more vivid and easy to read. It can also be used as a fun photo prop.
To create this pretty fall centerpiece, I used a variety of faux florals and pumpkins to cover the length of the low table. To coordinate with the low style for the table, I also kept the centerpiece on a horizontal scale instead of one tall arrangement.
This place setting was created using black chalkboard chargers to coordinate the chalkboard welcome sign with the table setting. I finished off the place setting with a metal charger, a folded black napkin, and rose gold flatware.
For the place cards, I actually used some of the leaves from the florals and wrote guests’ names on them in a pretty script.
To bring in a unique twist on the menu presentation, I used mini clipboards and instead of adding paper to them, I wrote directly on the clipboard. This gives the menu a fun, industrial look, which I’m loving.
For the drink area, the teal color of the tool desk was a great addition to bring in a pop of color to the rustic bridal shower and perfectly complemented the soft pinks and oranges. I served a caramel apple cider (non-alcoholic) and an apple pie cocktail as drinks.
You can find many of the items seen in this drink station at Michaels, including the white wreath with the pink florals that I put together, so easy you guys! The plain wood sign, the two little galvanized cans on the top the shelf, the mason jars, the basket, and the metal tray.
To give these drinks a fancy fall feel, I coated the rim with cinnamon and sugar and included a cinnamon stick drink stirrer with a sprig of rosemary for an organic touch of nature.
To create the dessert area, I used three bales of hay to create a staircase. I covered a portion of it with a plaid throw and added another wooden sign that I hand-painted to read “Dessert Bar”.
On the highest tier of the dessert area, I placed the drip-frosted cake, cupcakes, and mini pies on cake stands.
The cake was our focal point and was decorated with florals and a green macaron. Love how the Dessert Bar sign looked on the wooden piece.
The cupcakes were topped with a sweet topper that was created with rock candy sticks. I printed labels that read “sweet moments” and hand-cut the shape.
I decorated the pecan pie plates with the same faux flowers that had been used on the guests’ table.
The lower level of the dessert hay bales held cinnamon buttercream cupcakes (topped with an apple wedge), s’mores, and macarons.
I also loved using the chalkboard food labels that gave off a rustic vibe.
When it was time to say goodbye to our lovely guests, I knew I wanted to send them home with a little gift as a token for coming by. To keep up with the fall bridal shower theme, popcorn seemed very fitting. A metal flower stand was used with a vintage scale to display the popcorn party favors with some faux flowers.
This time, a larger wooden sign was used that read “Thanks for Popping by”. The popcorn was put into small mason jars and the tops were sealed with white burlap and wrapped with twine.
A cute circle sticker was added to the mason jars that read “for you”.
